University of Mississippi Medical Center deploys the Biolog-id Solution for Value-Chain-Optimization across multiple sites and blood components.

The Biolog-id platform has been deployed for red blood cells, platelets, and liquid plasma within the blood bank. Upcoming expansion includes emergency blood in multiple procedural areas in the hospital..


Atlanta, GA (April 14th, 2022) – Biolog-id, a digital health solution provider focusing on value-chain optimization, is proud to add the University of Mississippi Medica Center (UMMC) to the growing list of hospitals that are using the Biolog-id solution to improve operational, financial, and clinical practices within the blood bank, and across the hospital.

The current expansion of the Biolog-id solution includes Red Blood Cells inventory in the Adult Operation Room, The Adult Emergency Room, and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This expansion will extend the control of the transfusion service team over blood products beyond the walls of the blood bank, improving product availability and reducing waste.
