SKYTECH launches its international deployment and announces the opening of a first subsidiary in Italy
Le Val d’Hazey, July 7, 2022 – SKYTECH, a French Greentech player specialized in the production of premium regenerated resins for industrials and plastics manufacturers, announces the opening of its first subsidiary in Italy.
A few months after the operational launch of the new production site in Val d’Hazey – which will enable SKYTECH to reach a production capacity of more than 50,000 tons of recycled plastics (rABS, rPS, rPP) in 2024 – the French greentech is entering a new phase of its development with the incorporation of its first European subsidiary in Italy.
“The incorporation of this subsidiary is the first milestone of SKYTECH’s European expansion strategy, which aims to get us geographically closer to our industrial customers and have them benefit from our know-how to increase the use of recycled plastics in their products.
Italy is a leading industrial area in Europe, but also suffers from the current geopolitical and inflationary context. Many companies are looking for ecological, cost-effective and local alternatives to oil-based raw materials. Thanks to this new location, SKYTECH will be closer to its customers and will better assist them in meeting their challenges,” said Christophe Lamboeuf, CEO of SKYTECH.
SKYTECH’s Italian subsidiary is located in the surroudings of Milan and is led by Giovanni Reggio, its Managing Director. Reggio, a chemical engineer from the Politecnico di Milano, brings extensive experience in the chemical industry and was previously Plant Site Leader & Operations Director at Dow Chemical. He will primarily focus on identifying a location and setting up a production site to supply the peninsula directly with recycled plastics (rABS, rPS, rPP).
